Lesson 1

【Lemon】

蛤? 檸檬有啥好講的? 不不不…當在討論車子的時候，lemon會是一個偶爾出現形容詞，意指一台爛車！

【例句】
This car is such a lemon, I practically spent twice of its worth on repairs!
這真是台爛車，我花在修車的錢都可以買兩台車了！

中文請按1，阿拉伯語請按99，重聽請按 # ，掛斷請按 *

【#】跟【*】要怎麼說呢?
 # = Hash Key
 * = Star Key

Lesson 3

【heads-up】

按字面上來看不知跟抬頭有什麼關係?
其實是比較口語話 "提醒/建議" 的意思,
想成 "讓你抬個頭，你就會注意囉!" 就簡單許多。

【例句】
Thanks for the heads-up on the interview, it went really well！
多謝你的建議，面試很順利！

Lesson 4

【You nailed it!】

當你想說 "你hold住整場了！"
千萬不要說姐姐沒教你，還說 "you hold it!"
“You nailed it!” 可當成 "很行" 或者 "抓住重點" 的意思

【例句】
This dish is perfect. She totally nailed it!
這道菜超讚的，她完全掌握了精髓！

Lesson 5

【treat】

你是很闊氣的朋友嗎? 常常喜歡請客或搶著付錢嗎?
那一定要學起來下面的英文，才不會讓你想請客又說不出來很痛苦~~

 [請客] 有很多說法，看是哪種情況：

(1) 如果你是大老闆，餐廳是你開的，那就可以說：
(This dish is) on the house

(2) 如果你想請朋友吃飯或...，可以說：
Let me buy you a dinner/meal/drink

(3) 再來就是台灣人很喜歡的搶帳單，在這個重要的的摩門特(moment)，就可以說：
My treat 或 This round is on me

省吃儉用不常請客的同學們也要記一下哦~不然哪天哪個好心的外國朋友想請​你，你卻聽不懂去付錢，那就錯過白吃白喝...oops...I mean 讓朋友表現的的機會囉~!!

Lesson 6

【pulled some strings】
意指使用裙帶關係/走後門

【例句】
She pulled some strings to the management and got herself a pay rise!
她運用了點關係並得到了加薪的機會!

Lesson 7

【Sitting on the fence】
騎在牆上

通常不會有人騎在圍牆上，除了名叫『三心二意』或『觀望』的人。左邊看起來不錯，右邊也很讚，只好暫時坐在圍牆上，非常的『象形​字』吧~!!
